07.11.2011 :: Movement Europe wants to share with his supporters the great results of the 6th edition of “Movement – Torino Music Festival 2011”!
Year six of Movement Torino Music Festival, the Italian cousin of the cult Detroit Electronic Music Festival Festival (DEMF), brought together the leading lights of the underground dance music community in a spellbinding five days of live shows, DJ showcases and workshops in a diverse range of settings. Staged across the beautiful Italian city of Turin within eclectic spaces that included a car museum, an Olympic stadium, local university and riverside nightspot (used for an infamous daytime afterhours), Movement brought past legends; Derrick May; Green Velvet together with new pioneers; Visionquest; Guy Gerber and a passionate crowd, who all descended on Turin and took part in what has become the best festival on the Italian continent. Lil Louis reminded crowds at Turin’s Museo dell’Auto Museum why he's the master of vintage house music and Italy's best-known electronic music export Circo Loco formed the heart of the festival with a wild Saturday night event. The final show on Halloween saw Carl Craig adorn a series of masks for his live 69 show, Laurent Garnier take to the intimate side terrace in PalaOlimpico with a huge scale of production for his L.B.S. live show and not to forget Underworld’s stage stopping performance on the main stage for over 7000 people. “Movement Torino wish to thank all its partners and friends for having contributed to the best edition ever. Over 25,000 people visited Torino during the 5 day festival calendar, which involved 35 international musicians, 10 prestigious locatiosn (between museums, music hall, clubs and universities), 5 massive live sets; Movement is proud to promote clever entertainment.” Juni Vitale, Movement Torino organizer 2011.
